Péter ZOMBOLA was born in Budapest (1983). He started to learn music at age 6 and after completing the Bela Bartok Secondary School of Music he was successfully selected for the Franz Liszt Academy of Music. He completed both his Music Composition and his Music Theory Teacher degrees Summa Cum Laude (2001-2006). He also gained his PhD title at the Music Academy (2006-2009). His thesis was focusing on minimalist music particularly on the tintinnabuli system in the work of Ärvo Part.

Zombola composed many choir works, music for contemporary theatres, films, dance companies and advertisements. However, his biggest work is undoubtedly his Oratorium trilogy: all three pieces written for a symphonic orchestra and a monumental mixed choir:

Requiem, Part I of Oratorio Trilogy, 2012

Zombola received some of the most significant national music awards and also known internationally both as a composer and a university professor.
